Not a tracker.
Not a coach.
Not a streak.
Not a score.
A journal you don't write.
Someone else does.
It does not coach. It does not score. It does not say "walked" or "ran" or "climbed." It uses words like covered, went, gained, returned. Distance and landmarks lead.
"The length of Central Park. Two kilometers, folded into yesterday."
"About a kilometer went into yesterday. Rest stayed part of the record."
"Kilimanjaro's height, gained yesterday. The rise was there before anyone thought to count it."
"Crater Lake, matched in pieces. Six kilometers, recorded without ceremony."
When a milestone appears in the record, Beheld turns the distance into an illustrated postcard and leaves it in the journal. On eligible iPhones, paid Personalization users receive postcards generated on the device for the milestone at hand. Otherwise, Beheld quietly uses a bundled illustration.
Generated images stay on your device.

Open Beheld and yesterday is already a few quiet lines, in landmarks, not numbers. The free companion writes every morning, and a milestone sometimes arrives as a postcard, left in the record.
A milestone can leave the journal once, to one person. Beheld doesn't see who.
Beheld reads Apple Health on the iPhone and writes there. Your movement history is not uploaded to Beheld, an ad network, or a server.
Where Personalization is active, personal writing and postcard images are generated on your device through Apple Intelligence and Image Playground. The free journal uses bundled, author-written text and illustrations instead.
There is no account. No external analytics. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store; Beheld does not receive payment details.
The free version keeps writing every morning, with no subscription and no time limit. A one-time in-app purchase adds Personalization, and the companion begins to write about your own movement in more specific ways.
One-time purchase. No subscription. No upsells.
You didn't notice. Someone did. Let tomorrow morning be the first entry.
